Fri, 27 Mar 2020

In June 2019 the Species of the Desert Festival brought together over 250 Indigenous Rangers to share knowledge about important desert species, like night parrots and bilbies, and some of the threats they face. The event was hosted by the Paruku and Kumirrki Rangers on their traditional lands with added support from Indigenous Desert Alliance and Kimberley Land Council.

Proud partners of this incredibly valuable event included: Threatened Species Recovery Hub, Rangelands NRM, 10 Deserts Project, National Landcare Program, Country Needs People, Bush Heritage Australia, WWF-Australia and Northern Star.
