Dr Ben Scheele

Project Leader
The Australian National University

Ben Scheele is an ecologist working on improving threatened species conservation at ANU. His current research focuses on threatened species monitoring and adaptive management.

In particular, Ben's work focuses on quantifying the extent and quality of monitoring and developing guidelines and case-studies to improve threatened species monitoring and adaptive management. He is also interested in understanding what determines differences in threat impacts across species' ranges and why some areas act as refuges for threatened species.

Finally, Ben has conducted extensive research on the impacts of the devastating disease, chytridiomycosis, on the world's amphibians. Please visit his personal website for more info.
