Results of cat baiting trials to help an endangered wallaby in Queensland

Fri, 26 Nov 2021

We conducted the first broadscale trial of Eradicat® baiting in eastern Australia. We deployed 5530 Eradicat® at Taunton National Park (Scientific) in central Queensland and monitored the impact to the feral cat population and other wildlife in the area.

The project is a collaborative study involving Biosecurity Queensland (DAF), Queensland Department of Environment and Science, and The University of Queensland.

It was supported by The Australian Government's National Environmental Science Program, the Queensland Government Feral Pest Initiative, Biosecurity Queensland and the Queensland Department of Environment and Science.
