Applied Decision Scientist - CSIRO

Josie is an applied decision scientist in CSIRO Land & Water. As part of the Conservation Decisions Team, she works on developing and applying prioritisation approaches for managing threatened species and threats to ecological systems.

Josie specialises in translating real world ecological challenges into decision making tools and in combining ecological, economic and social factors to generate better outcomes for nature and people. She developed the Priority Threat Management approach for assessing the outcomes of alternative scenarios for managing threats across land and seascapes.

She continues to develop decision approaches in new regions, problems, and cultural settings.
