The University of Western Australia

Stewart Mavdonald completed his PhD in evolutionary ecology through James Cook University, examining how climate has shaped (and how climate change is likely to keep shaping) adaptation in the Rainforest Sunskink. As part of his work for the Threatened Species Recovery hub, he is involved in the translocation of frogs and turtles to mitigate against drying climates, and the broader theme of genetic considerations of fauna translocations.
