Cathy is the Supervisor of the Native Species Breeding Program (NSBP) at the Perth Zoo, and has worked in this section (initially as a Keeper) since 1996. Her interests are in reproductive biology and captive breeding of endangered species for release to the wild as part of an integrated approach to aid species recovery.

The NSBP team are currently working with Numbats, Western Swamp Tortoises and Dibblers and have also been rearing White-bellied and Orange-bellied frogs for release programs since 2010.
