Australia has over 9200 islands with and multiple unique, endemic and multiple threatened species ranging across latitudes and jurisdictions from the tropics to the Antarctic region, making coordinated management challenging yet crucial. In order to effectively strategize conservation management across islands, it is important to have a reliable source of data comprehensively documenting island populations of threatened species. To address this gap, we created the first database of threatened species on all Australian islands.
