A letter in response to an article written by Martell and Rodewald 2019 which argues that recent changes to the Guardian's style guide with respect to climate change were not evidence based and should have been based on existing empirical evidence. Here, A. Kusmanoff argues that the changes were based on appropriate evidence, and that to limit changes in issue framing to instances based only on empirical evidence would have the effect of enshrine the status quo and to stymie effective communication.
