Many animals are disappearing from across northern Australia. Some threatened species, such as the bursh-tailed rabbit rat might be lost forever unless we can improve monitoring and management. Unseasonable fires and introduced species (particularly feral cats) pose significant risks. This project looked at how we can best manage fires and feral cats to improve conservation outcomes for threatened species on the Tiwi Islands.
