There is now ample evidence that citizen science has made and will continue to make valuable contributions to our understanding of the natural world (McKinley et al. 2017; Show 2015; Theobold et al. 2015). This Citizen Science for Threatened Species Best Practice Framework represents a key product of a three-year project examining the role and potential of citizen science to contribute to threatened species recovery in Australia, and globally.
