Dr Steve Murphy works to put conservation into action through land management. He has worked for various agencies and organisations across Australia, mostly in northern and central regions. His areas of expertise include fire ecology and management, feral predator ecology and management, threatened bird recovery and spatial analyses.
He currently serves as:
- Casual Research Manager, School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, The University of Queensland;
- Ecologist, Adaptive NRM Pty Ltd; and
- Secretary, Artemis Nature Fund Inc.
