Mr Rob Price



Robert is a botanist and ecologist who specialises in flora of the subtropical east coast of Australia, with a particular interest in rainforests and threatened species. He graduated from The University of Queensland in 2003 majoring in botany and has 17 years’ experience working for governments, the private sector, universities and researchers. He was employed for six years by the Queensland Herbarium in the Plant Information and Advisory service and the Plant Identification Room.

Through his work as a consultant to New South Wales state government departments, Robert has contributed to improving knowledge about, and protecting ecosystems, in the northern rivers of New South Wales, notable projects being the Comprehensive Coastal Assessment and the Bush Recovery Program. He has also contributed to a number of plant ID publications and nature guides including the Flora of North Stradbroke Island and Plants of the Forest Floor.
