Cathy Offord manages the Australian PlantBank at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan. Her work focuses on germplasm conservation and horticultural research.

Cathy has published widely on ex situ plant conservation (including seed banking) and has a growing research program on threatened species translocation and rainforest conservation. She has been instrumental in the 20+ year history of conservation research on the iconic threatened species, Wollemi pine.
