Callum is a passionate environmentalist with a love and curiosity of the natural world. He completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Marine Biology at The University of Queensland in 2019. His interests are in research that can be used to inform better management and conservation of natural systems and wildlife in the face of a changing climate and the biodiversity crisis. Callum is a current honours student contributing to project 8.3.7, investigating the impacts of post-bushfire runoff on freshwater fauna. His research is using experimental approaches to examine how specific changes in the aquatic environment following fires can affect the aerobic performance and respiratory physiology of threatened Australian freshwater fish species.
