Brenton von Takach Dukai

Project Researcher
The Australian National University

Brenton von Takach Dukai is a PhD candidate in the Fenner School of Environment & Society at the Australian National University. He is an ecologist with a passion for conservation biology, molecular ecology, and evolutionary biology, as well as being a keen field naturalist. Brenton is investigating the ecology and population genetics of Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus regnans), a foundation species that dominates the montane wet eucalypt forests of south-eastern Australia. Current disturbance regimes in Mountain Ash forests are likely to have important consequences for the survival of threatened species, but can also impact the long-term persistence of the forests at a landscape scale.
