The Threatened Species Recovery Hub has a position available for an Indigenous Liaison Officer.

Working with TSR Hub researchers and Indigenous communities, the successful applicant will play a key role in the development and implementation of the Hub's Indigenous engagement and participation strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working to ensure that outcomes sought by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are being incorporated into the Hub’s planning and activities.
  • Working with Hub researchers to ensure relevant projects are engaging effectively with Indigenous communities as early in the planning process as possible.
  • Providing program management expertise to assist in the achievement of outcomes sought by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into long term TSR Hub research initiatives and specific short-term projects.

This position may be based at any location across Australia (with negotiation), and will be required to undertake regular travel.

The successful applicant would have extensive experience working with, and a demonstrated ability to consult with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and agencies.
