Teghan Collingwood

Teghan Collingwood is a Research Assistant in the School of Biological Sciences at The University of Queensland. She completed a Bachelor of Environmental Management with Honours in 2018, working with the Olkola People on Cape York Peninsula to understand the threats of nest predation to their totem, Alwal (golden-shouldered parrot).

Teghan is passionate about understanding the cultural connections people share with their environment, and how these intersect with conservation objectives. Other research interests include desert and fire ecology. Teghan’s current research focuses on assessing the threat status of Australia’s flora.
