Rosalie Willacy

Project Researcher
The University of Queensland

Rosalie Willacy is a PhD student supervised by Dr Eve McDonald-Madden and Dr Sarah Legge, and is working in partnership with Parks Australia. Her project `Will feral cat control on Christmas Island release another invasive pest (black rats), with unintended consequences for endemic birds?' commenced in late 2016.

Rosie will be working specifically with the Christmas Island Emerald Dove and Thrush, the Red-tailed Tropicbird and Brown Booby. Rosie's desire to work with birds in the context of invasive species management developed from time as a research technician with the Department of Conservation, New Zealand.
