Renata de’Jonge


Christmas Island National Park

Renata has been a part of the Natural Recourse Management team for the last three years. She has worked across all the major programs including cat eradication, rat control, flying fox survey’s, yellow crazy ant bio control and reptile captive breeding. She has also completed an Island Wide Survey of Christmas Island.

Renata has a Diploma in Project Management and has just completed her certificate III in Conservation and Land Management. In her current position as Assistant Reptile Keeper she partakes in the day to day husbandry of the blue-tailed skink and the Lister’s gecko and leads tours for visitors of the captive breeding facility.

She has lead teams of volunteers, researchers and new staff during reptile health checks and was involved with the set up and monitoring of the blue-tail skink soft release site.
