Lucy Commander

Lucy Commander is the Project Manager for revision of the ANPC’s Guidelines for the Translocation of Threatened Species in Australia and an Adjunct Lecturer at The University of Western Australia. Specialising in seed ecology and restoration, Lucy has worked on projects across her home state of Western Australia over the past 15 years, helping the mining industry improve their seed-based restoration. She also has a keen interest in urban ecology, seed traits, threatened species and communities and human–nature connections. 

Lucy has served as treasurer and board member on the Society for Restoration Ecology Australasia for the past five years, has extensive experience in organising national and international scientific conferences, and volunteers in her local bushland friends group.
