Anna Hopkins

Lecturer
Edith Cowan University

Anna is a lecturer in conservation biology and environmental science at Edith Cowan University and the Centre for Ecosystem Management. Her research focus is fungal ecology, and she has experience working with soil microbes, wood decay fungi and invasive forest pathogens in eucalypt and other broadleaved forests and pine plantations in both Australasia and Scandinavia.

Anna's recent interests include understanding the link between mycorrhizal fungi, fauna conservation and plant ecology, and using high throughput sequencing to understand how microbes respond to and recover from disturbances such as climate change, fire, urbanisation and mining.
